Herbal and Botanical Pollen Processing.

The "Standard Series" pollen sifting screens are the
most popular specifications (not necessarily the best) for collecting
and/or salvaging the crystals (glands or trichomes
) while cleaning or grooming the leafy
substance. This group consists of larger wire diameters in relation
to the mesh count (number of openings) per linear inch. They
are long lasting although there is a major disadvantage, the larger wire
diameters result in a proportionate reduction of open area /
screening efficiency |

High-Throughput pollen
screens have significantly larger percentages of open area which is
necessary to maximize efficiency, a key factor in high
production screening or sifting although overall screen life is lower
than the standard series specifications. In pollen screening applications,
the slightly reduced life expectancy is quickly offset by the volume and value of
the product passing through the screen. |
